So now that The Fantastic Four has tanked at the box office, the question is can the series continue from here, or will it totally done from here? There have been a number of attempts to bring the Fantastic Four alive, all of them lackluster, and now this could be the final nail in the franchise’s coffin.
Yet the Playlist asked if the series could continue from here. What? Are they kidding? Then again, Star Trek: The Motion Picture wasn’t that great, but the sequel, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, was awesome, and there were great Trek movies from there on out.
The Fantastic Four is one of those superhero franchises that’s been practically been begging for a reboot, and if this version finally brings everything to a crashing halt, it would be a shame. Then again, maybe it’s unadaptable into a feature length movie. NetFlix finally brought back Daredevil, could the Fantastic Four do better on television, where there’s better storytelling anyways?
At this point, it looks like the Fantastic Four has as good of a shot at resurrection as Howard the Duck, which is really a shame, but it seems that this one may indeed be unadaptable.
